DIY Portable Ironing Board

Posted on February 12, 2016 at 6:05 PM

This DIY is inspired by my newly acquired iron, Panasonic 360 Freestyle. With just a few materials, you can iron right from the table top!

I used a 11x14 canvas that I already had in my stash, a heat resistant ironing pad, a few pieces of cardboard and a staple gun.

*Turn the canvas over and wedge cardboard in between canvas and wood frame.

*I used duct tape to help secure cardboard. It's okay if it's not perfect; no one will see this side anyway! However, you can cover it with coordinating fabric and staple it to the frame to secure.

*Turn resistant cover over and center canvas

*Pull edges taut and staple all the way around, securing pad to canvas frame

*Now, you're ready to iron right at your sewing station!
